Applying for a grant which includes CHBH facilities

Early-Stage Grant Planning Support (GPS)

As of March 2023, the CHBH new offers CHBH members a new grant planning support (GPS) scheme, to help funding application development from its earliest stages. The GPS will offer help with planning grant applications from idea development, through to the steps of writing an application. Particular focus will be paid to the earliest stages, by providing feedback on ideas, advice on orienting the work to suitable funding schemes, and guidance on what can be done in the build-up to strengthen an application. Applicants will receive guidance from the co-ordinator (Dr. Matt Apps) and via a short presentation, detailed, expert peer feedback from those with relevant experience (this can be with only a focused group or can be open to the whole CHBH depending on one's preference). This scheme is open to members of staff at all career stages, in the CHBH, and we particularly encourage early career researchers including PhD students who are thinking about their first grant or fellowship applications to get in touch.
